The latest Highway Safety Association's report on motorcycle fatalities had an interesting fact concerning age: the average age of all motorcycle fatalities increased to 43 years old.

What attributed to this increase? The biggest factor was the large number of Baby Boomers getting back into motorcycle riding after being away for years or even decades.

What does this mean to you? First, if you are getting back into motorcycle riding after being away for some time, make sure you have the proper motorcycle riding training.

Second, buy an appropriate size motorcycle for your age and riding abilities, given your age and skill level especially for those of us riders age 50 or older.

Get trained. Get retrained, if needed. Buy a motorcycle appropriate for you.

If you have been injured in a motorcycle accident contact Thayer Law for a free telephone consultation with a personal injury attorney.

Be safe out there!
